This artwork was created for Operation: Social Justice Warrior (#operationsjw), which was a collaborative charity drive.
In thinking about social justice and being a warrior for social justice, I knew I needed to create someone mythical and heroic, someone strong and beautiful.
While I made the creative decision to cover their chest, this Merperson has at every moment of creating this work, been ungendered in my mind. They are both/and, not either/or. There are intentionally three differently pigmented skin tones available - because visibility matters.
For the life of this design and regardless of what it prints on, 100% of profits will be donated to Lambert House in Seattle.
A stylish spin on the classic baseball raglan. The combed cotton blend makes it super soft, comfortable, and lightweight.
